Over $700 has been put into repair and refurb such as capstan, motor, fully recapped, etc. Looking for a plug and play specimen that will turn on and just go? You found it. At 1800 we are breaking dead even.

Very clean. Sounds exactly as it should. Many points of repair have been completed Jan 2023 and again at electric lady from Roger Dellar in Jan 2024. Fully serviced and ready for decades of music making. Comes with original lid! Also included is the original on and off pedal with an 8’ cord! Handle has been replaced with a vintage NOS handle we found. New front badge and knobs too.

The biggest upgrade from the EP-2 to the EP-3 was the quality of the heads which have quieter fidelity and longer lifespan. These particular heads are in fantastic shape and lucky for us it looks like it wasn’t used much throughout its life.

The EP-3 is also known equally for its incredible preamp, even when the echo is not engaged! Works as a killer guitar level boost too.

A little quick tip on how these are used, these have a much different level input and output than the other tape delays you’ve probably seen out there like the Roland space Echo or the Binson Echorec. These live in that obscure Hi-z guitar pedal level zone. They’re not quite line level and they’re not quite mic level. It’s best to plug a guitar directly into this and plug the output directly into the hi-z input of a microphone preamplifier such as the API 512 C. this is how you’ll get a best signal from them.

Buyer has the option of black or which knob heads you’d like it shipped with, I have three different appropriate sets for this. I have the original black chicken heads or the earlier ep-3 round silver dot knobs with black square pointers (just msg me after you buy it and I’ll send pics of options, if you like). Most people agree these white chicken heads are the coolest but you have the option.
