Ohma World

Ohma World microphones are designed with a single mission: to give storytellers, musicians, and sound engineers the resources they need to capture beautiful sound effortlessly.

Ohma microphones combine decades of experience in pro-audio manufacturing and innovative design. Each microphone is personally, designed, developed, and hand-painted by us in Los Angeles, California. Our ribbon transducers and condenser capsules are each handmade in-house and finely tuned to precision. They have been perfected over years of experimentation to bring you a sound unlike any other — one that will strike the perfect balance between character and texture without ever being too overpowering or obscuring any details.

Ohma screen sets. Choose your sound.

Ohma mics offer an unparalleled level of flexibility and control with magnetically swappable screens. These interchangeable Ohma microphone grilles, which we call screens, are designed to protect the delicate inner components of the microphone while altering its frequency response — allowing you to shape your sound in new directions.

Switching out your Ohma mic screens offers a playground of sonic possibilities. Each screen set has a unique visual appearance and imparts a distinct sound profile. From different colors and shades, to varied patterns, you can explore the creative depths of sound, texture, and tonality with ease.

Their magnetic design makes it simple to switch out the front and back screens on-the-fly, so don't be afraid to experiment until you find your ideal combination for your voice, music, or instrument. With Ohma mics, discovering the perfect soundscape has never been more fun.

The Ohma Ribbon

The Ohma Ribbon is a unique microphone that combines the classic characteristics of ribbon mics with added clarity and definition. You can expect smooth and forgiving transients without sacrificing details and an overall sound that feels full-bodied and balanced.

The Ohma Ribbon uses an active design (requiring +48v phantom power) making it perfectly compatible with any recording setup or situation from humble interfaces and mobile recorders to world-class preamps and studio consoles. The mic’s circuit features a custom Lehle transformer to add depth and a splash of musical saturation  Its durable design allows it to handle anything you throw at it, capturing the intense roar of amplifiers, the delicate subtleties of string sections, or powerful vocals with ease and consistency.

The Ohma Ribbon is an excellent tool to have in your arsenal to expand your mic palette. It's perfect for capturing sounds that can't be replicated with other mics.
