YT VIDEO NOW ATTACHED TO THIS LISTING - Extremely rare studio microphones from Octava’s flagship line of famous 1995 microphones. Sounds amazing on drums, gtr and of course vocals. I recently sold a pair of small diaphragm condenser 1995 mics and the buyer said they were the best microphones he had ever heard in his life and it’s the only mics they use in their studio. This line from Octava seems to remain the “golden era” of their design and manufacturing which also included the famous MK-012’s.
You will notice these have the ultra rare quick release black ring around the base of the head baskets. All literature shows the standard MA-78A’s had a much smaller grey/silver plastic ring l. I’ve not seen the black ring anywhere else but on this particular pair.
These MA-78A Cardiod studio dynamic mics are great on just about everything including guitars, vocals, percussion, drums, base cabinets and more. They were originally tailored for close mic application in recording studio/radio/TV/theater applications and are considered quite versatile. You certainly will not be disappointed with these top-tier microphones in any recording situation.
