A beautiful example of Acoustic Control Corp ingenuity!
For sale is a vintage Acoustic Control Corp Model 125 2x12 combo amp, made in USA during the 1970’s. Includes the original foot switch for toggling on/off the Reverb, Master Volume, and Graphic EQ.
One of the few ACC amp models to feature a master volume control, making it a versatile amp for both clean and overdriven tones. The powerful graphic EQ can boost and cut frequencies as low 70Hz all the way up to 2000Hz, making it perfect for both bass and guitar use depending on how you set the EQ. On the back panel, you have the additional flexibility of being able to patch the preamp or power amp into an additional unit, giving you the ability to mix and match preamps/poweramps from multiple sources. There’s also a speaker output for hooking up the amp to an external cab.
This amp has had the original speakers swapped for a set of 70’s CTS speakers. Features rigid plywood construction and very heavy, built like a tank! Not completely unscathed but still in good condition considering it’s age. The only notable issue is the Footswitch has to be firmly pressed into the 6 prong adapter to function without intermittence. This is extremely common with other amps that use a flat-6 pronged Footswitch adapter, but it is absolutely guaranteed to be thoroughly tested and working as described.
It is very seldom you will find a Model 125 with the original foot controller, don’t miss out on this awesome piece of Acoustic Control Corp history.
