Vintage 1958 Fender Deluxe Amp
For sale a vintage March of 1958 (6HC date code) Fender Deluxe “narrow panel” amp with a February of 1956 12” Jensen P12Q speaker. What’s original, the circuit (transformers, caps, resistors, pots, wiring, jacks, est) looks to be untouched and original for the most part, the pine cabinet, back panels and plywood baffle, the handle hardware, the chassis and knobs. What’s replaced, the brown tolex covering (fairly poor job, no tweed covering left underneath), the upgraded grounded 3 wire power cord, the power switch, the instrument volume control, the tubes, the handle strap. This amp sounds fantastic, the slightly unusual 5F6 circuit (instead of the typical 5E3) has a nice thick overtone rich open sound with a bit more headroom and a little less sag than the 5E3 circuit, punchy low end, clear sparkling highs. While this may not a museum quality all original example, it is a great “players” amp with a cool “street credit” vibe, great for small gigs or in the studio. Comes with a generic slot cover, will ship to the continent US only via UPS.
