This guitar is soon to be two years old. I bought it new from a Fender shop that had not gotten it sold. My customers love it when I spot these that haven't been discovered. We left the plastic on the pickguard and other spot. I feel its the owner that gets that pleasure. All we did is replace the original strings that were getting a little rusty and set it up. It plays and sound awesome!

This guitar is just beautiful. We had it set up in our shop with new 9 gauge strings to give great bending. This guitar just sings…I love the Fender Standard Pickups ..They sound great! ....Plays with effortless fingering with awesome low action that plays itself… Standard 25 1/2 inch scale neck and the nut 1 11/16 inches. Just like Buddy Guy likes! What a cool guitar!

The “soft V” neck profile (the shape of the neck in cross section) on the Buddy Guy Stratocaster has a distinctly comfortable fretting-hand feel that takes the more pronounced sharpness of a ’50s “V” profile and “softens” it into a somewhat more rounded shape. Ideal for players with larger hands whose thumb extends over the edge of the fingerboard.
