OVERVIEW
The no-nonsense versatility of the Les Paul Junior with a stunning, figured maple top.
The Les Paul Junior Special, featuring 2 pickups instead of the Junior's one, followed quickly on the Junior's heels in 1955. Like the Junior, it soon became a favorite of working musicians around the country. The added front pickup broadened its sonic potential with warmer rhythm tones. Now you can have the classic minimalist Les Paul Junior Special tone”as generated by 490R and 498T Alnico magnet humbuckers”but with some added natural flash in the form of a flat figured AA maple top highlighted with gold hardware. Tune-o-matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece. Rosewood 22-fret fingerboard. Mahogany back and neck (set).
