Sometimes issues do arise and can be caused by rough handling of the package old brittle wiring or failure of a component to survive the rigors of transport.

Tubes often once taken out of the sockets may need to be rearranged to obtain optimal performance in a tube unit.

Pots can sometimes be scratchy or develop a flat spot from use. Deoxit is your best solution to resolve a minor issue.
Switches sometimes need to be cleaned or adjusted to make better contact.

The Guild X-50 Granada is an electric archtop with a single coil pickup. It features a laminated maple top, back, and sides, a 3-piece mahogany neck, and an unbound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Introduced in 1954, the late '50s examples differ in that they have a shorter 24 3/4" scale.

This guitar was renamed the X-50 Cordoba in the early 1960s.
