About This Listing

The MM-150LN is a perfect example of Gold Tone’s “more bang for the buck” concept. This openback banjo model is a professional quality instrument offing many of the same features found on much higher priced instruments and packs an unreal tone for its low cost. This model features an accurate replica of the vintage and highly sought after 3-part White Ladye tone ring coupled with a 1/2" rim for maximum air chamber volume. Other features include a maple neck, rosewood fingerboard with ‘snowflake’ inlays, vintage Friabanks-style headstock design, planetary tuners, 11” Renaissance head, Vega-style armrest, and No Knot tailpiece. Final assembly and complete setup performed at the Gold Tone Factory in Florida.

Tuned 1-1/2 steps lower than a standard 5-string banjo, the Maple Mountain Series MM-150LN is set up for the best singing keys. Specs are equal to the popular Gold Tone MM-150 with the addition of three extra frets allowing the banjo to tune to EBEG#B.

Every instrument receives a 12 point set-up and is thoroughly inspected before shipment. This takes additional time before shipping but insures that your instrument will be received without any flaws or issues and will be ready to play right out of the box!
