Sadowsky MetroLine basses are produced by Roger Sadowsky’s personally trained protégé, Yoshi Kikuchi, in Tokyo, Japan. A superior craftsman in his own right, Yoshi moved to New York for a year to learn the art of the Sadowsky Bass at Roger’s side. Yoshi then assembled a small group of Japanese craftsmen and opened a studio in Japan under Roger’s supervision. As a result, Roger is able to deliver the legendary Sadowsky Bass more immediately and more affordably to you, the working bass player.
About this bass: Sadowsky Metro Vintage RV4 lefthand 4-string bass guitar, alder body, maple neck with Pau Ferro fingerboard, 21 frets, 12" radius, 1,5 nut width, white dot inlays, 2x Sadowsky hum canceling pickups, Sadowsky preamp with VTC, chrome hardware, black pickguard, incl. gigbag, made in Japan, color: walnut, weight: 4.1 kg / 9 lbs.
Bass itself used for practice, excellent condition. Case shows some sign of wear, but extremely functional, See pictures, includes all original paperwork.
Sad to lose this one, the Sadowsky preamp and picks-ups are fantastic. Neck is as good as any I've played. The VTC (Vintage Tone Control) works in active and passive mode, a feature now copied on most active basses
