Excellent Tauscher & Co. TACO Archtop from the 1950s.
This guitar is a rare Masterbuilt Archtop made from all solid woods. A Spruce top with Maple back and sides, complemented by a 7 piece neck. A true work of German craftmanship. The guitar has been refretted and the fretboard leveled. This guitar sounds and plays superb. It is also equipped with high quality Kolb tuners made in Germany. This is a beautiful full sized 17" archtop guitar.
A true Gem and very rare.
The only main flaw is the top has a crack that was repaired and the finished is flawed at the repair. There is also a small blemish of the finish on the back and a few other very small finish blemishes. (see photos)
The rosewood headstock and matching pickguard show the attention to the highest detail. The soundholes and the Brass engraved tailpiece add to the high style and look of this rare instrument.
This guitar is shipped with a very nice Hard shell case.
