About This Listing

Up for sale, a 1980 Guyatone EM-808 Echo Machine vintage analog tape delay in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. Produced in Japan, this rare analog tape delay runs on an 8-track cartridge, offering delay times from 150-400ms. Compared to other tape delays, the EM-808 has a unique tonal color and lower fidelity at slow tape speeds. This EM-808 has been freshly serviced and calibrated by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar.

This tape delay features three inputs and two channels with dedicated Volume knobs and Mic/Line Level switches. Bass and Treble knobs shape the signal, and Echo controls include Volume, Repeat and Speed. The pair of outputs offer both wet and blended signals. While designed for 100v use, the unit runs reliably without modification on 117v USA power.

This tape delay is in fantastic shape, with clean graphics and well-kept black tolex and black corners, retaining all of the original knobs.
