Very rare Morris guitar from the 70s! This one features a high grade solid cedar top with gorgeous Brazilian rosewood (Jacaranda) 2 ply laminate back and sides. Brazilian is also used for the headstock overlay. Neck is mahogany. It plays and sounds great with great tone and volume!
Currently setup for medium action, neck is straight and frets are good. There are signs of normal usage, see pictures for overall condition. There is a small scratch on the back bottom edge of the body and the back of the neck has a couple of imprints from using a capo or imprinted by a guitar stand. I have marked these on the photos. No export due to Brazilian rosewood content.
Case: Premium (non-Morris) hard case
Scale Length: 652mm
Nut Width: 50mm
Frets Remaining: 9/10
Overall Condition: 8/10
“Laminated” is quite unfortunate term regarding Japanese made guitars. These "laminates" were made from 2 layers of the same solid tonewood glued together with natural resins. They were made so well that they performed as good as solid woods while being far less expensive in guitar production and far more resistant to cracking in regular use.
