I’m selling my 1978 Yamaha FG12-301. I bought this at a music store in Northampton, MA a few years ago and have played it a bunch either in the studio or just at home. It’s a great axe very balanced with the nice tight low end and crisp high end these Yamahas are known for.
I believe this was a non export guitar and was brought over seas by a man who did business in Japan in the 80’s. It shows this guitar has very little fret wear and the nice white binding has aged beautifully. This guitar is has a Ezo spruce top, Indian rosewood neck, and Rosewood back and sides all which are bound and binding and looks fantastic. Structurally this guitar is rock solid and has very nice and sturdy but light X bracing. If you like guitars with lower action the bridge has room for adjustment but as is this guitar plays fantastically!
I’m open to shipping but I would have to locate a case as this guitar was sold to me with an unoriginal chipboard case. We can discuss if that’s an option you would like to take. Nevertheless, I would guarantee the guitar would arrive in perfect condition. I will include a pack of 12-string strings. I can also restring it for you if you’re serious about the sale.
I’m selling a few things to finance another purchase as soon as I’ve reached my goal I will be pulling the items left unsold from my shop as all my pieces are all fully working and very playable.
Feel free to shoot me an offer especially if you’re local! And if you have any questions please ask.
