This Gretsch 6121 is owned by legendary rockabilly guitarist Brian Setzer
This Gretsch Chet Atkins is a beautiful example of this model. There are some light scratches and dents on the back, but no harsh buckle rash. There are a few large dings near the output jack, but overall nothing major. The headstock seems to have had some work done. There are obvious marks of refilling with dowels and impressions in the wood where the tuners use to reside. The 3 bottom tuners make this more evident. Youre able to see the orginial screw marks above each tuner. The pickups are original and sound fantasic. It truly is the grestch sound. The hardware has tarnished and some of the original gold is has worn off. The leather around the guitar is in great shape with little wear. There is a small area near the screw where the pick-guard has started to tarnish. There are some rather cool appoinments to this guitar, the pickups are sitting on tortise shell spacers, the bridge is a solid piece of metal, the western engraved block inlays are something to behold and you cant go wrong with a bigsby. The guitar itself plays like a dream, as you're able to slide around the neck with ease. This includes an original gretsch case.
Because this guitar contains Brazilian rosewood we are only shipping within the US. Price covers label for expedited shipping as well as insurance.
