Dual 1009 SK2 4-Speed Fully-Automatic Turntable w/ Dust Cover & Wood Plinth

This is Dual's first real HiFi turntable. Very nice Dual 1009 SK2, with wood veneer plinth from United Audio. Dust cover is in great shape with only one scratch in the back corner. No hinges, just removal by hand. The cartridge holder was missing when I picked this one up. Nice looking record player.

This turntable is functional, but will need a good overhaul/re-lubing to perform properly in the near future. All it needs immediately is a new idler rubber. The motor spindle pressed against the idler causing a dent while not in use. This makes automatic start almost impossible. Manual start is fiddly. You have to move the arm over the record and simultaneously push the lever to manual start. Putting down the arm and then push start, lets the stylus jump, as the motor torque lets the whole chassis move. It will test your patience. The changer mechanism works as it should.
