Super rare 1/12 USA Strandberg here from what was affectionately known as the “Guitar Porn” or “Koaberg” run. I believe this was a small run done for a facebook group back in the day, where they essentially mashed every exotic wood they could think of into a single build.
Koa top (slight flame in direct light), deep red cocobolo neck, dark ebony fretboard and a crazy black Limba body. These almost never come up for sale, and I have hesitated repeatedly to list this one. The koa is a real bent top, not a cheap thin veneer like they use for their tops now.
Guitar has fanned stainless steel frets, luminlays, 5 way switch with vol/tone and aftermarket Suhr SSH+ bridge SSV neck pickups (was originally ordered with bare knuckles per the included COA).
Condition-wise its in great shape, only a few small marks on the back, and a few that I’m not sure whether or not its just wood grain or marks on the edges - all I can find are pictured. Headstock shows light marks where the strings goes through, and the zero fret has the slight makings of some divots (unavoidable with these - can barely feel with fingernail) and should last quite a bit longer.
