This is the Katana 8* by Arnold Montgomery. It is his second brightest mouthpiece. I say bright in that... you can play very brightly with it, but it has a lot of control built into it. There is a lot of flexibility built into the piece so it really works well playing many styles in one gig, like for a jazz ensemble setting.
There is some plating that flaked off the table, as you can see in the picture. I spoke with Mr. Montgomery about this and he has assured me this poses no health risk and that it can occur to the plating on the metal mouthpieces. After it occurred, I played the piece another three years and its been fine.
