I am relisting my Ken Basin St. Bass guitar from around 1965. It’s in very good shape, all notes play, the body is very clean and the pickup and wiring are loud and without static.

Everything is original on the bass, from the knobs to the tuners to the cool “K” logo and the often missing Kent Bridge cover.

This is a big guitar, 46 inches in length with a full-scale 33.5 inch neck. I put new .045 - .105 guage strings on. The action is medium to high and all notes play up and down the fretboard. The neck has a slight bit of relief. The chrome pickguard is sturdy, shiny and oh so reflective.

The odd thing for me about this bass has always been the bridge, four dense plastic string bases that can be adjusted for string length but not for height. Over the years these have chipped a bit but there are grooves in each where the strings rest securely. I could see replacing the bridge with another vintage one if this is your main instrument but will leave that decision up to you.

The neck is rosewood and smooth, the frets all have good life, and the big tuners hold tune. The muting foam inside the ashtray bridge cover had hardened over the years so have removed it. Again will leave yo you whether you want to add the foam back.

Will be well packed in a relatively padded bass size soft case and shipped quickly.
