1940's era Kalamazoo Lap Steel made by Gibson. Just one volume control, electronics are in good working condition. I've seen pictures of similar lap steels that have the cable hardwired. This has a quarter inch input jack that may or may not be original, not sure. From the looks of the grey wire inside the control cavity I would say that the jack was added on. The tuner buttons are disintergrating, common for old Gibsons, and I have just replaced the buttons as you can see in the newer photo's. Two have an ivoroid finish and browned a bit from the heat when replacing. This steel is ready to be played and loved!
