Old Ibanez we (my great friend, John (boss of the legendary HyWay Music Mart in East Brunswick, NJ) and I) recovered from an abandoned artist’s studio near Llanes, Spain, if I recall fairly correctly. The crazily painted body had to stay as it was - seemed meant to be… and painting the neck to match would’ve been much more difficult, had God not guided my brush ( see photos). Fun stuff, bein‘ on a mission from Him.
We put a bone nut on ‘er and new Gotoh tuners…
New CTS pots to go with the DiMarzio Virtual Vintage neck and DiMarzio/Ibz bridge pickups and a new Oak Grigsby selector switch…
a 10-12” radius rosewood fretboard, with very meaty frets on a really nice quarter-sawn maple neck. The grain looks very ash-like, actually.
Despite drilling some weight-relieving holes in ‘er, she weighs in at almost 8 lbs.
Very comfortable and though kitsch-y in appearance, this girl is a serious player in performance capabilities and comfortability… stays in tune and rocks like the Strat/Paul she is (more of a Les Paul sonically, very Strat-y in feel and scale length).
Listed shipping costs are just guesses… she’ll be shipped in a hard shell case.
Thx for looking & God bless yas.
