This guitar was built in the second week of January, 1983. This is a well documented guitar among BC Rich collectors. When I purchased this Bich, it had Lace pickups installed. Luckily for me, the original DiMarzio pickups and BCR preamps were in the case. My luthier completely cleaned and rewired the original electronics to Neal Moser’s original schematic. One switch and the jack needed to be replaced (original nut and strap buttons included in case). Otherwise, the guitar is exactly the way it left the factory in ‘83. This is my first vintage Bich. It’s easy to see why so many guitar heroes have relied on these instruments throughout the decades. In my hands, this guitar has a very compact/comfortable feel. It is very easy to play and has so many tonal options. The internal preamps allow you to go from clean to crunch to insane gain at the flip of a switch. At first, all the switches and pots seem overwhelming, but I got used to them very quickly. This guitar has been played professionally for almost 40 years. There are scratches and dings. But overall, the guitar is in remarkably good shape for its age. There is some pitting in the frets, but they have been well maintained (plenty of meat on the bone). The original case looks like it’s seen a lot of clubs and stages, but all the latches and hinges are still doing their job. Please check out my other listings. I currently have several instruments from the 70’s and 80’s. Thanks for looking.
