The ibanez Prestige line is their top of the line Made in Japan models. This one is in fair condition with playwear, but that doesn't make it a lesser guitar by any means.. This model features an extremely lightweight thin body and fast shredding neck.
The pickups were swapped to an EMG 89 set many years ago. I do not have the originals. The back electronics plates are not original either but keep everything in. The tone knob was swapped out for a switch. It coil taps the neck pickup for the neck and mid pickup as currently configured. Volume knob is still as it should be.
The body has plenty of light nicks and dings here and there that I attempted to picture as best as possible. There are finish cracks ONLY in the clear coat and not structural in the neck pocket as well as one on the back of the guitar as pictured. Light fretwear, nothing major at all. Some tarnishing to the hardware.
The neck is straight and the all of the electronics work as described. Freshly setup with 10's and is a joy to play.
Comes with gator hard/soft case.
The S1520FB is an S series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1999. It is part of the high end Prestige line and one of the first S series Prestige models. It is sometimes listed as simply the S1520, but that model name refers more accurately to a related model without the exotic top.
The S1520FB features a figured bubinga top on a mahogany body bolted to a maple and bubinga Wizard Prestige neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and single inlay at the 12th fret. Components include a pair of Ibanez Quantum humbucking pickups, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut; and Gotoh tuning machines.
