This Peavey Heritage VTX Pair (Black Widow Speakers, Scorpion Speakers) is from the private collection of Billy Corgan.
These were two Heritage VTX combos used in the studio to record Corgan's solo effort, TheFutureEmbrace.
These are both road-going amps that Corgan used often as a stereo pair on his tour for TheFutureEmbrace. As such, they still have the tape with his amp settings on them. They have the usual dirt and surface corrosion you'd expect on 30+ year-old Peaveys, but no major structural issues or tears in the tolex or grille.
One has Black Widow speakers while the other has Scorpion speakers. Together, the pair weighs about 150 lbs. (68.2 kg) not including the flight case, which is almost necessary to move them around anywhere. All inputs and controls work as they should. These amps, used as a stereo pair, are incredibly loud. The EQ and gain parameters available on each amp means creating a thick, harmonically rich blend just a few minutes of tweaking away.
