Publison DHM 89 B2 & KB2000 Late 1970's/Early 1980's

Finding a working Publison DHM 89B2 in good cosmetic condition is hard enough....I waited almost 20 years to find the accompanying KB2000 which takes things to another level, and completely opens up the capability of the DHM 89B2. Legendary digital effects from the early 1980s, incredible sound quality (in my opinion the best digital delay I've ever heard). Capable of Delays, pitch shifting (which is insane) and memory latch (freezes and loops the buffer so that it can be manipulated and processed like a sample...making this one of the first digital samplers....with pitch, looping, direction and vibrato all freely controllable from the KB2000). This is essentially granular synthesis/sampling from 1983!!! Publisons are notoriously difficult to service and it took some time to find the right tech in the UK to give everything a complete service/overhaul. I can provide the buyer with the full tech report/invoice, it cost just under £1000 and was completed at the beginning of November 2022 (will supply invoice/receipt to buyer). Part of the problem with working on Publison equipment is that the chips were intentionally scratched by Publison at the point of manufacture, so that competitors would be unable to identify/clone them. A similar approach to ARP encasing their chips in resin. After considerable research and consulting with other techs around the World, we were able to identify and replace chips that were no longer working in the KB2000. Everything now works perfectly, and should the need arise further down the line the new owner will now be able to easily identify/source parts. This system offers huge potential for sound-design/sampling/effects. The delay alone is the best I've ever owned/heard, akin to the wonderful tones you would expect from early samplers. NB: I have entered token shipping quotes as I have no idea what the actual shipping would cost. Both units are still with the tech who has been working on them, and can be shipped directly to the buyer. I will arrange to have accurate shipping quotes organised at the point we know where the items are going, and will be completely transparent about the costs. I will have everything packed professionally and safely, and will insist on the buyer insuring the package given the respective value. Alternatively for any potential buyers in/near London i can arrange for the items to be shipped back to me, and made available to test/collect in person in the M25/London area.
