Mike Lipe Virtuoso w Brazilian Rosewood, Short Scale, Spalted Flame Maple

Mike Lipe was my favorite builder. He was a great guy to all and left a legacy of incredible guitars. If you have not played one before, they have a very solid feel which reminds me of James Tyler guitars.

This guitar is unique because it has a 25 inch scale. The typical bolt on S has a 25.5 inch scale and a Les Paul has a 24.75 inch scale. This makes for a highly playable guitar (stretches are a easier) and slightly less string tension. Builders such as Tom Anderson offer short scale models for a good reason.

This one has a beautiful Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and roasted quarter sawn maple neck. The body is roasted alder, the bridge is Gotoh with Hipshot saddles. The tuners are locking Hipshot. This one has Sin pickups. It is custom pickup similar to their VH. It sounds killer. The condition is excellent as you can see in the photos. There is one small ding in the the finish on the top of the headstock on the tuner side.
