Up for sale is a Mackie Satellite FireWire interface, featuring two of
Mackie's Onyx preamps. The unit still functions but has issues. The main
unit connects poorly to the docking station. My guess is the pins in
the connector have probably bent a little. Consequently, sometimes it
will randomly disconnect from the computer mid-recording. The main unit
functions as a standalone, but it sometimes doesn't power up. The Onyx
pres are really nice. I've had several pieces of gear with them, and I
have nothing but good things to say about them. If you're willing to be
patient with the unit's issues, it'll give you a great sound for next to
nothing.
