This is a Musketeer model resonator tenor banjo from the '30s, I think. Made by Stromberg-Voisinet (Kay) it has a pearloid (celluloid, "mother-of-toilet seat") fingerboard and headstock veneer, 5-piece mahogany neck with nicely carved heel, 12" maple (?) pot with MOT veneer, 22.75" scale. All original with a new Fiberskyn head, new 9-30 strings, low action. Missing small pieces of veneer on the back of headstock and heel cap, otherwise good vintage condition with little fret wear, minimal scuffs and scratches. Vintage chipboard case in rough shape.
Please review the photos carefully as they are the best description of the banjo. Contact me with any questions or comments. No returns. Thanks for looking.
