About This Listing
For sale an early 1970's Woodson (Kustom/Kasino) W200-8 Powered Mixer. Very cool 200-watt, four-channel head that can serve as a bass, guitar, or keyboard amp . Each channel features two 1/4" inputs, a volume knob, bass and treble knobs, and a reverb knob. It has two 1/4" speaker outputs rated for one 4 ohm load or two 8 ohm loads, as well as a 1/4" tape out and a 1/4" monitor out. You can also jump the channels. Headshell feels rigid and well made, higher quality metal handles than you'd normally see on a Kustom amp.
Woodson amps were affiliated with and made by employees of Kustom, and very similar to Kustom amp models. This Woodson seems to be a direct copy of a Kustom Kasino Club model. Quote from Wikipedia; “Some affiliated companies and trademarks were Woodson and Legend. Woodson Electronics, Inc. from Bolivar, Missouri was an independent business entity founded by Mike Woodson in the early 1970s (around the same time when Kustom was acquired by Gretsch). Mike was Bud's brother-in-law and all amps and P.A. systems were manufactured in Bolivar. Several Kustom employees moved to Bolivar to work for Woodson.” The external condition of the amp is in good condition for its age, but does not power on and being sold as-is. Feel free to make an offer on this cool vintage project head!
This amp has been pre-packaged to ensure quick shipping, package dimensions are approximately 27x14x12 inches and weighs about 45 lbs
