Built by Luthier Nic Delisle of Island Instrument Manufacturer in Montreal, Canada. This Espetele is a new variation on Islands’s most popular design the Espeto aka “The Traveller” for its portable size. While this guitar is small in stature, it’s quite the opposite in its tonal capabilities and feel.
This fun, head turning headless guitar features a 23.5” scale-length (right under the scale-length of a Fender Jaguar) The guitar is very comfortable to play with its 1 11/16” wide nut width and 12" radius fingerboard. The Espetele features Nic’s new 3 brass saddle bridge design and a set of Mojo Telecaster pickups for Tele tone in a travel sized package.
These are wonderfully well balanced guitars seated or standing and they are always light and easy on your back. The Espeto (and variations like the Espetele) have been Island's top seller since their release. A great tool for musicians who travel a lot for gigs and want to take only the essentials. This guitar will also fit easily into an overhead compartment when traveling by airplane.
This Espetele is outfitted in an Olympic White body finish with a tort guard. Both the body and neck feature tortoise binding and the neck is an absolute great feeling carve.
From Island: “The Espeto is a scaled down, headless version of my flagship Forty Four model. It features all the same custom features in an ultra compact, ultra lightweight travel-ready package.”
