This partcaster takes colors from the Startocasters of the 60s. Its nitro cellulosic varnish and its "Relic" patina give it a real vintage look. It also has a beautiful quarter sawn maple neck with a dark rosewood fretboard made by a luthier.
It is equipped with a JM Big Dipper set hand-wound by QPickups in Croatia. These pickups are based on the specifications of the John Mayer Signature Stratocaster pickups made by Fender who named them. These pickups were themselves inspired by the SRV Signature that John owned. The particularity of the Big Dipper is that they are a little under wound compared to the Texas Special of the SRV, giving it a well developed bass and treble and a less present midrange.
This particularity on the frequencies can be found on many Fender Blackface amps and gives this beautiful and very recognizable clean or crunch sound.
The guitar comes with a tweed hard case.
