This gem results in German hofner brand tight attention in bringing the best value for price in its collaboration with its Chinese factory : crafted in China following tight specs and quality control, each instrument is set up in Germany with real quality pickup and hardware.
Would add this one is from the very first batches they did, as some other variations were and are still produced.. heard but can’t confirm by true experience they did not reach the same level of quality..
So, anyway, this precise one is among the best unbeatable quality for price I have ever seen in recent years.
Beautiful flamed maple body, nice rosewood board, central spruce sustain block, great frets.. everything is well set as on any full German made hofner..
Thus you sure might have seen it played by pro musicians here and there if you pay attention..
Kept it for some years, even helped me sell some recent Ric 330 as it was not sounding and playing better than this one, but now decided to let it go.
Real cool recreation of the famous verythin, real nice playing and more than decent pickups that deliver from creamy to shiny to barking dark sounds. Really love that mix.
Played it actively in rehearsals with some garage jazz combo I had as it delivered the best for our mix, this combo is now gone and I need some place.
Your chance to get a real nice verythin in perfect condition. Nothing changed, pristine condition. Sold in the original soft case hofner not seen on pictures here, but available !
Cheers all , any question welcome
