About This Listing

Takamine EF450C Thermal Top Acoustic-Electric Guitar Black Sunburst

This beautiful NEX model is an addition to Takamine's growing TT Series of "Thermal Top" acoustics. The spruce tops are treated with high heat, modifying the resins and sugars in the wood. This imparts a played in vintage tone and feel that is surprising in a brand new instrument. The EF450C TT BB is a tastefully ornate instrument, incorporating "Grass Flower" inlays made from hundreds of pieces of abalone and pearl. The neck is made of maple with an ebony fingerboard. The nut width is a comfortable 42.5mm width, a fast and easy playing width. The body features beautifully flamed maple on the back and sides, giving the player a bold and articulate voice. Like the other guitars in the TT Series, it features the stealthy TLD-2 Line Driver preamp and Takamine's legendary Palathetic pickup system.
