Concord are a Japanese label that existed from the late 1960s to the mid 1970s. This guitar is from around 1975 or so. They produced the usual copies of the US built guitars and a few funky originals. They are well made guitars that stand the test of time. This guitar has a lovely maple top with nice grain on a mahogany pancake back. Rosewood fretboard plays really well - slick with minimal fretware. Not too heavy - just under 4kg. The pickups sound fantastic (early Maxon?) , and really scream with distortion/ overdrive. A garage rock , punk killer! Everything works fine with no structural issues and it has been well set up with Daddario 10-46. One of the saddles on the bridge has been replaced and I am waiting for a matching cream pickup mount to be delivered. No major damage just minor marks, bumps and scratching typical of a well cared for guitar almost 50 years old.
