Gibson Custom Shop Prototype Tal Farlow guitar 2003 blonde

In early year 2000 I was at NAMM with my friend Guitarist Mundell Lowe when he introduced me to Mike McGuire who at that time was head of the Gibson Custom Shop. I asked Mike if he knew of any records regarding the prototype Tal Farlow guitar that Tal played most his career. I talked to Tal at a gig here in San Diego in 1988 and I asked him why he played the prototype guitar and not the production Tal Farlow that came out in about 1962. He told me that he had a production model and it was stolen from baggage at an airport and he liked the prototype better anyway so he never got another production model. Mike notified me later that they had dug up some information on the prototype Tal and I supplied him with a video with Tal describing the prototype guitar. Mike said they could make one for me and in early 2003 I got it. To Mike's knowledge the only one ever made previously was the one Tal had.  I believe it is in France now and there is a utube video of the new owner playing it. It was priced at 100k when it was advertised for sale at one time.The guitar the Custom Shop made for me is a very accurate representation of the first one right down to the nickel plate on the hardware instead of chrome plate. There are two labels in the guitar.  the one on the left says "Tal Farlow, 21723003". The one on the right says, "Top, back, tone bars and air chamber on this instrument tried and tested, tuned and the assembled instrument tried and approved March ,31 2003", and signed by James W Hutchins. All the tags I got with the guitar come with it and the original case.  The guitar is in mint condition since it has never left my guitar show case since I got it. It plays and sounds just like a custom Gibson should
