Moon PJ-4 1980s

Moon PJ-4 precision / jazz bass, made in Japan sometime in the early 1980s.  It appears to have a 2 piece ash body, maple neck with ebony board.  Condition is good with minimal fret wear.  The tuners work backwards relative to a fender bass.  Here are the reasons why it is listed as only good condition.  This bass had surgery at some point to add a 3rd pickup.  The hack that performed the surgery chiseled out the body and ended up drilling straight through.  The end of the fret board was also trimmed.  A spurious battery box was added too.  The pick guard was butchered, so I a put on a new pearl guard, and replaced some bad pots.  It's playing and sounding beautifully now.  Comes with a gig bag.
