Griffin Les Paul Custom copy 1980s? Maple

Japanese made "Griffin" Les Paul Custom
copy.
I can't find any information on this guitar,
but I've had a couple of vintage guitar shops
look at it and they guess it's most likely
1970s, possibly 80s made.
A couple of vintage guitar guys said it looks like an offshoot of a 70s Ibanez model.

The guitar is a mahogany body with Maple
top, with bolt-on rosewood neck ,block inlays.
The bridge, tuning pegs, strap posts,
humbuckers were gold, but are tarnished
from age and wear.
The tone & volume knobs, and pickup toggle switch all work beautifully.
There are some small nicks and scratches on the pick guard, and on side and back of the guitar ( they were there when I bought the guitar, so the wear is from previous owner).
Overall the guitar is in great shape, most noticeable is the wear and tarnish on the bridge, pickups and tuning pegs.
I’ve never had any issues with the guitar .
It’s always performed, played, and sounded fantastic.

The guitar covers a dynamic tone range from bright and clean using the bridge pickup, to a warm, fat, full tone using the neck position pickup.

And looks beautiful with the blonde wood grain and clear finish.
Compared with my Gibson LP Custom, this guitar is about the same weight, and sounds very close tone wise,
(But Less dark sounding than the Gibson).

I used this guitar for recording and for a handful of live shows over the past 7 years I’ve owned it.

The guitar comes with a hard shell case.
I will ship it in the hard shell case, inside a thick guitar shipping box, and will add additional packing, padding and bolstering.
