About This Listing

This is a modified Mosrite SM or Semie Moseley model electric manufactured sometime from spare Mosrite parts during 1976/77 - a sweet and rare bird indeed! It is likely that this was made in an effort to use leftover parts/develop new models like the Brassrail or Bluesbender and there were very few made. This is a slab body (most likely basswood) with a signature set of Mosrite pickups, Ventures style neck with the "the New" moniker style headstock, Mosrite pickups and original tailpiece. The finish, the scratchplates and the bridge are unoriginal but the guitar is otherwise as it would have left the factory and feels and sounds like a signature Mosrite (but with a bit of its own style and flavor). It is lightweight at about 7 lbs 3 oz, has a sweet setup with a fresh set of .010s and clean electronics. The instrument has cosmetic wear and tear (see photos), some fretwear but is playing great, sounding great, and will make the next player very happy! Does not include a case/gig bag or other accessories, but check out our shop online or get in touch directly if you'd like to add anything to your order.
