Fender American Vintage II 1961 Stratocaster, Rosewood Fingerboard, Olympic White

The Fender® American Vintage II Series features a particularly neat reinterpretation of the revolutionary designs that changed the course of music history. Crafted with historically correct bodies, necks and mechanics, high-class finishes and with the utmost attention to sound, with vintage-specific pickups, each instrument captures the essence of Fender's most authentic workmanship and tone.

During the late 1950s and early 1960s, the popularity of Fender musical instruments continued to grow, and although the Fender assortment expanded to include many outstanding new instruments, the Stratocaster® reigned supreme. By 1961, the Stratocaster is distinguished by a more refined aesthetic, with a reformulated 3-Color Sunburst, with a more vibrant red and a deeper black border, complemented by the 3-ply pickguard that accentuates its unmistakable curves.

Featuring a premium alder body, a trio of Pure Vintage 1961 Stratocaster pickups and a Medium "C" profile maple neck paired with a 7.25 "radius rosewood slab (meaning flat back) fingerboard, the American Stratocaster Vintage II 1961 fully reproduces the original sound and feel. Other features include a historically correct "synchronized tremolo" with cold rolled steel blocks, folded steel saddles, “Fender Deluxe” inline tuners and 3-ply pickguard.

The instruments of the American Vintage II series are the direct descendants of the original Fender: designed for players who really know how to appreciate vintage Fender tones and response, they are built with inimitable quality, down to the last screw.
