BK Butler / Tube Works Blue Tube rack RT-904 1989

For sale is my 1989 BK Butler Blue Tube rack preamp/overdrive. Run in front of an amp, it's a great, tube-driven light OD with a switchable boost. It can also be run directly into a power amp and used as a tube preamp that stays nice and clean and chimey. It's lower gain than the black or tan models so it's great as a boost and low gain OD instead of that full on Tube Driver sound that almost gets into fuzz territory. The Blue Tube is also great on bass!

This one for sale is in excellent+ condition. Everything works. All the knobs are original and turn just fine. The rack ears are straight and only have minimal rack wear on them. Check out the pictures for the condition.

The tube inside is the original tube. A while back I cycled about a dozen different 12AX7s and 12AU7s (both modern and expensive NOS Mullards and Amperex) and was surprised to find that the original tube really was the best, fullest, most balanced sounding. So that's the one I'm selling with it.

Nothing compares to a real tube preamp!
