About This Listing
Selling due to moving and sadly this little beauty has to go. I've used this over the years I've owned it for mainly teaching, recording, practice at home, for acoustic gigs and it has also been used by others as a bass and harmonica amp.
These amps were made by Mojotone for Gibson from around 2002-2006. It's all hand wired with turret board construction. The amp features high quality components including Heyboyer iron and a polished stainless steel chassis. This amp is very similar to a tweed champ, it runs at 5W and uses an EL84 and a single 12AX7. That's right, it's a class A amplifier.
It does differ from the original GA-5's in that it is solid state rectified. Comes with the stock JJ EL84 and a 12AX7.
It has a great sounding Weber Ceramic Signature 8" 4 ohm speaker re-branded with a Gibson Goldtone label.
Things to note, there are a few scuffs here and there, and I've tried to capture those in the images. The tolex is lifting ever so slightly on the joins, but this isn't uncommon and could be glued back down. I've been the only owner since 2006/7, I can't quite remember when.
These don't come up that often, the last I saw went for nearly £1000 on the bay so grab yourself a great deal here whilst you can.
This is collection only as it would be too heavy and fragile to ship. Feel free to get in touch with any questions you might have. Open to sensible offers.
