About This Listing

# 691
with aluminum body
(Non fineshed project - 80% completed)

When i did this job back in '95 i was 20.
A kid I would say now but the effort I put into it was just amazing.
Body was sand casted and the mold was made out from a cheap jazz bass copy.
The "marriage" between body and neck was done by a professional facility.
Despite from its industrial look where this bass excels is the sound.
It's loud with endless harmonics and no lack of bottom end. Big and mean, you know rough sound.
If someone with skills and access to machineries would complete this bass giving it a better and professional look I'd be willing to part with it.
Basically it needs a solutions to cover the back (I used two shaped sheets of aluminum with duct tape!!! ) and be refined.
Or it can be kept as is.
Beware
This beast is very heavy!

I still have the original Koa body in natural finish which I will include in the sale. So it can be reverted to original condition at any time.

This bass should have beeen made in 1978 after business reorganization.
Thin body, two piece fingerboards, "sansui" knobs (one of wich has been recently missed).
Hard sheel case seems not original to me, although from the period, but has some interesting 90's stickers.

Bass is registered at my name in the travisbeanguitars.com database since early 2001.

I can send more pics and reply to any questions you might have.
Available to video calls etc...
