About This Listing
NOTE: I'm new to Reverb, but have been selling regularly for ~25 years
as "peahix" on another well-known site. Buy with confidence!
Vintage 1981 Moog / Realistic Concertmate MG-1 Analog Synth Synthesizer Keyboard.
This one is in overall good used shape cosmetically - study all pics closely
for details. Functionally it's
in overall good working order, having been serviced by a qualified tech a few
years ago. Since that time there are two issues. The calibration has
drifted, so that will have to be scaled in order to play
in
standard 12-tone equal temperament. Also, the "tone sources" slider in the modulation section, which creates pitch vibrato, is currently not having any effect. These should be relatively
straightforward fixes for a qualified tech. The keys all play smoothly and trigger
cleanly/correctly. I'm not aware
of any mods done to this unit. I'm
not the original owner, so I don't know the full history of it. The demo video features a demo track
("New Life" by Depeche Mode, sequenced in Cubase via a MIDI/CV interface)
I made with this synth awhile back when it was still mostly scaled
well. All sounds including drums are from the MG-1, multitracked. After that is a bunch
of
noodling, some of which I recorded when I created this listing in Sept
2022. It's not very "musical" but will give you a sense of the range of
sounds this synth can make. Also included is the original owner's manual, in good/complete condition.
