LEFTY! Vintage Fender Japan 1980s MIJ Surf Green MJT Nitro Lacquer Relic Guitar

This is a vintage 1980's Fender Japan ST62 model from the early Fuji-Gen era of guitar making. Guitars from this era are considered by some to be among the finest quality Fender guitars ever made. This one features a new MJT Surf Green nitrocellulose lacquer refinish with lacquer checking.

The ST62 vintage Alnico pickups sound fantastic and all functions work great, with original vintage Fender Japan plastics and vintage spec 2 & 3/16” tremolo, upgraded with a full depth Kluson tone block.

There's fantastic grain on the C shape maple neck with .8”/.89” thickness, 21 medium nickel silver vintage frets (1.9mm / ..07” thick), tight grained slab Rosewood with rare 9.5” fingerboard radius, and 1.65” / 42mm bone nut, with Gotoh Made in Japan tuners. The neck is upgraded with a professionally installed reverse bone nut and a “Stratocaster” decal.

This rare left-handed vintage Fender guitar has an amazing upgraded nitro lacquer refinish. In addition, it is priced fairly considering parts value, which exceeds $2K+ with an upgraded MJT finish.

Weighs an average Strat weight of 8.2 lb, and by comparison is considerably lighter than many Gibson Les Pauls or 70s Fenders which can weigh 10+ lb.

Ahead of schedule delivery intact. This excellent specimen of a 1998 cij67/68 Hendrix natural ash body guitar was described physically on spot. Hearing and feeling are hard to convey online. Love the small-dimensioned neck still retaining nice resonance. It's a keeper before and after the amp is on. Way to go with providing near new case and it's candy, on top of it all, a wall hanger, wow. Thanks Leftys!
