2022 Franchin Mars T-Style Relic Olympic White over Sunburst w/ Case, COA, Tags

Up for sale, a 2022 Franchin Mars T-style relic in mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case, tags, COA and leather strap. Franchin - a young boutique brand based in Monticello Conte Otto, Vicenza, Italy - pride themselves on utilizing the highest quality components and tonewoods to produce their nitro-finished relic’d guitars, including proprietary pickups handwound in-house and hand-selected, seasoned woods.

This particular Franchin features a two-piece American red alder body and a seasoned walnut neck capped with a walnut fretboard; lending it a bright, responsive acoustic profile with complex midrange presence and clear low end. These qualities are translated faithfully by the hand-wound Alnico V single coil pickup pair, yielding plenty of classic Tele chewy twang. The neck position has a fuller and more bell-like tone, while the bridge has a sparkling percussive cut and tight bass register. Weighing 7lbs 9oz, this Franchin has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with fresh 10-46 strings, low action and accurate intonation.

The seasoned walnut neck has a medius C-shaped profile carve with moderate shoulder and consistent heft in all registers, measuring .845” deep at the 1st fret and .880” at the 12th. The slab walnut 22-fret fretboard has a 9 1/2” radius and pristine jumbo fretwire. This guitar plays cleanly in every register with a straight neck and responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod. The scale length is 25 1/2”, and the carved bone nut measures 1 11/16” in width. The headstock has a silver Franchin script logo, and the Gotoh Kluson-style aged tuners turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch. The back of the headstock has a hand-written serial and inspection signature from Mattia Franchin.

Electronics comprise a three-way pickup selector switch and Master Volume and Tone knobs with USA-made CTS pots. Hardware includes the Gotoh “In-Tune” bridge with brass saddles, dome-top knurled knobs and chrome control plate, all of which have been lightly aged as part of Franchin’s relic treatment. Plastics include a three-ply wide bevel mint green pickguard.

This Franchin boasts an Olympic White over two-tone Sunburst gloss nitro lacquer finish, heavily relic’d to reveal the burst where the forearm crosses the top and at the bass-side waist on the back. This instrument is like-new, with no wear beyond the factory aging, and the neck profile has a silky smooth satin finish.

The original hardshell case is included, along with the original hangtags, COA and Franchin-brand genuine leather strap.
