About This Listing

Maybe THE loudest and most responsive guitar on the market. These newer Kim Lissarrague guitars are something special. I can’t say this about many guitars, but expect this maker to take the world by storm soon. It has it all - clear, responsive, warm, colorful and last but certainly not least: LOUD.

This is a newly built, 2022 Kim Lissarrague guitar (Cedar top, beautiful Ziracote back and sides) that I’m only selling because I have a great opportunity to purchase a guitar I’ve been waiting for many years for. I actually have two Lissarrague guitars and the other I have works better for my hands (a little thicker and wider neck). This one for sale is standard spec’d and I’d expect it’s better for most people.

If you want to hear almost exactly what this guitar sounds like, listen to the video Siccas posted of Anabel Montesinos playing Asturias- this is that guitars sister!

In the US, I don’t know why more people aren’t playing them, but I’m sure they will be soon. I’d suspect that it’s because ordering a guitar from Australia can be a headache - with shipping costs, import fees, etc.

Here is a great opportunity to pick one up that has only a few hours of play on it and has plenty of room to be broken in.

For what it’s worth, this guitar is SO incredibly loud. It’s louder than any of my other lattice or doubletop guitars. I’d wager that these have a warmer and sweeter and just as loud sound than the ever popular Smallmans of today, and are so easy to play as well. Notably it has an almost indetectable “nasal” sound that is so characteristic of the thin top, lattice guitars.

Perfect condition, no signs of play. The protective material on the top and behind the bridge is done by Kim Lissarrague on all of his instruments.

It’s worth noting that purchasing here rather than overseas through a dealer means you save huge on shipping and import fees (that would be over a thousand dollars).
