The Sigma JR-40 is a high-quality steel string guitar whose jumbo body consists of a solid sitka spruce top and back and sides made of Indian rosewood. The mahogany neck of the acoustic guitar features a fretboard made of Indian rosewood. Furthermore, the Sigma JR-40 has golden die-cast tuners by Grover, a nut and a saddle made of bone as well as a natural finish.
The SIGMA brand was launched in 1970, and have since established an excellent, even legendary, reputation. Some models were said to be of outstanding quality, both, in construction and sound. SIGMA acoustics are built by specially trained staff in the most efficient guitar factories in Japan and then sent to the US for inspection before being released for sale and shipping to the music stores. Most owners still swear by their instruments and would never part with them.
