About This Listing

Whether your preferred sound is a traditional textured vibe or something shockingly adventurous, the Shape Shifter is one of the most adaptable tremolo pedals you will find. You may adjust the rise and fall of the signal with the Shape knob; set it in the middle for a conventional, even effect, or turn it left or right for crazy effects that can mimic backwards recording or the attack of an analog synth. When operating in stereo, the mini Phase knob allows you to choose whether the pedal is in phase or up to 180 out of phase, switching you from a stereo effect that is more comparable to surround sound to a swirly phase tone.

Use the Ratio/Rate mini-switch to choose whether the Speed knob acts as a straight rate control or as a selector for between 1:1, 2:1, 3:1, or 4:1 speeds relative to the Tap Tempo. Use the Speed control or Tap Tempo foot switch to set your modulation speed from 0.5 pulses per second to over 15 pulses per second. Before you press the effect switch, you can see the effect speed immediately thanks to the LED Speed knob, which is always flashing.

In order to prevent the "dip" that occasionally occurs with tremolo pedals, the volume automatically adjusts. Additionally, having stereo inputs and outputs allows you to experiment with your signal chain. The Shape Shifter is True Bypass like all of Seymour Duncan's pedals, and it is created and put together in thier Santa Barbara, California facility by the same group of people that make Seymour-Duncan's renowned pickups.

Product Overview
The Seymour Duncan Shape Shifter tremolo pedal features classic tremolo sounds yet allows control over every function for more wild tones, all in a true bypass and all-analog pedal. The first version comes in a gray enclosure with mono outputs, while the second version has a purple enclosure with stereo outputs. The Wave and Shape knobs provide access to customization of the waveform of the tremolo, with the Shape Shifter also featuring Depth and Speed knobs and a Tap Tempo footswitch. The Rate/Ratio knob changes the function of the Speed knob to either keep time with or multiply your tapped tempo, and the Channel Phase knob on the stereo version controls how out-of-phase the left and right channels are.
