What we have here is a lovely, upgraded 1997 Fender (Japan) Jaguar. I believe it was part of their 60's reissue series. I have upgraded this guitar considerably with...
- Professional custom rewiring by the talented techs at Main Drag Music, here in NYC
- Rhythm circuit replaced with a single phase switch for more tonal flexibility
- Three-switch configuration replaced with 3-way toggle for bridge, neck or both
- Brand new custom WD pickguard routed for humbuckers
- Matched pair of Lollar humbucker-sized P-90s
- New bottom and top custom switch plates
- Brand new Mastery Bridge (a must on all offsets!)
- Satined neck for smooth playability
If you are familiar with these upgrades, then you know this guitar is going to play and sound amazing. Having owned several Jaguars, Mustangs and Jazmasters, I can assure you that it does!
I like light strings with high action and that is how it is currently set up but most players would opt for heaver strings and lower action. Up to you!
Has one of the nicest rosewood fretboards that I've seen on these and the frets are in great shape with years of life left.
It's got one finish ding on the top above the tone knob (pictured) and some normal wear but in great shape otherwise.
I'm throwing in the original rhythm circuit switch plate and volume/tone wheels, If you'd like to convert it back. You wont, trust me. It will come shipped with a gig bag and in a well packed guitar box. Let me know if you have any questions!
