Help me decommission this soundly sleeping mini giant! In 100% working order. Comes with the original power supply and connector cable and a lifetime supply of of deoxit. Ask me questions as it’s easier than typing out all the details that are available online already.

This console can drum like Fleetwood Mac, guitar like shellac n slint, and thump like zapp & Roger, plus soooo much more, hence the price. Don’t think buying a m916 or a pm1000 is gonna get you near the (still warm and dark) tonal sculpting options, depth, and clarity of this console. The Current hype of transformer balanced inputs and discrete circuitry has had me second guessing and led me on a long hunt for a desk that sounds alive and adds color, depth, and warmth to my digital recordings. I’ve been through probably 25 plus small consoles this year alone but keep coming back to this one. I have two of these and both are pretty much flawless minus an unquenchable thirst for deoxit. I chose to keep the rm1608 after micing up a small singing bop set a year ago. I found that the eqs are so musical and routing options so many, that I could stack channel eqs on the individual mics and end up making it sound completely different, huge, and almost a dead sounding kit completely different than what’s in the air. These eqs are not dissimilar to a synthesizers filter. The hot pres with the japaneve eqs are musical as hell, boost away, sweep, and smile. I got another shortly after the first because I liked it so much and one popped up locally. The time has come for me to reclaim open space in my studio and this one has got to go. The vu leds are out so I ran a small led string through the meters, there’s a short wire and a small switch that I have taped to the right hand side of the desk to turn on and off these lights. Trades are also welcomed and I love analog synthesizers, tape echoes, tube mixers, limiters and gates and need a decent ribbon. Don’t sleep on this sleeper.
